Marie Curie are expanding their service in the Isle of Skye area with exciting opportunities for excellent Healthcare Assistants to join our team and be part of this service. This is an exciting time to join an ambitious, much loved charity seeking to grow our support and services within this region.

The successful applicant will play an active role in our team, providing excellent individualized care, enabling patients to be cared for and die in their own homes surrounded by their families and loved ones.  It's all about giving them the best possible quality of life. The support we offer is tailored to meet individuals' medical, social, spiritual and emotional needs.

Physical activities required by the role include but are not limited to patient handling, frequent standing, sitting, walking, climbing up and down stairs, kneeling and crouching to attend to patient needs (including in an emergency situation) and load handling.

Ideally you will hold an SVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care or equivalent. Relevant experience in Palliative or End of Life Care is desirable but not essential. You will need to be able to demonstrate the ability to work well within a team, use initiative and organise your workload and have good communication skills.

A full driver's license is essential and the use of a car, insured for business use.
