This is an exciting time to join Marie Curie’s IT team as we have been working to re-shape our IT services and creating new technical and project management roles to enable us to do this. 

As such Marie Curie are recruiting an IT Business Intelligence & Data (BI&D) Project Manager with proven project and line management experience to deliver relevant, timely and effective workstreams to assist Marie Curie’s Data, Performance and Analytics (PDA) team achieve successful delivery of its IT Programme. The successful candidate will have a customer focused attitude with strong experience of being responsible for the management of staff and projects in a medium or large organisation. 

The BI&D Project Manager is expected to have an understanding of data management and data analytics technologies, tools and methods to enable them to can manage the data and analytics workstreams and understand activities.  The role requires the ability to influence individuals and teams, including executives and possess a high level of organisational skills with the ability to work well with others to define and deliver infrastructure improvements.

The following qualifications and experience are core to this role:

  • Essential:
  • Minimum of 3-years Business Intelligence and Data Project Management experience;
  • AgilePM and/or PRINCE2 (2009/2017) Practitioner certificate (or equivalent); 
  • An understanding of data management and data analytics technologies, tools and methods to enable them to can manage the data and analytics workstreams and understand activities; 
  • Strong and highly accurate project financial management skills;
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Able to communicate clearly, cogently and appropriately for a range of technical and non-technical audiences;
  • Leadership and management skills, including the ability to influence the work of others;

The ability to think creatively with regards to the management of issues and operational matter would be beneficial, as well as a good understanding of procurement processes and good practice.  

A talent for negotiating with third parties would also put you in good stead and Management of Risk (MoR) Foundation (2010).
