The IT Security Analyst is primarily responsible for providing operational support to the Information Security function from within the organisation’s IT department.

The overarching objective of information security at Marie Curie is to protect the charity’s information assets from unauthorised access, disclosure, modification, or destruction by taking a holistic risk-based approach to the implementation of security controls (administrative, personnel, physical, and technical).

This is a ‘hands on’ operational security position in which the primary objective is to implement cybersecurity controls as appropriate to; deter, prevent, detect, respond and recover from security threats and incidents.  The Technical Security Analyst is expected to enact technical actions directly to this end, and to direct external and internal parties for the same purpose.

You will have experience of working in an Information Security role and be used to working across organisation departments. You will have experience of firewall and other security systems administration as well as third line IT support including active directory/windows server administration OR worked as a senior security operations centre analyst. We will consider candidate with IT Security Consultancy background. Previous experience and knowledge of MS Azure, Intune, O365 security and other Microsoft security solutions would be bonus.

You will have the ability to work efficiently and effectively under pressure, prioritising your own workload and will possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Marie Curie is committed to a world where everyone can thrive and fulfil their potential. We are devoted to the social justice imperatives and organisational benefits of full diversity, inclusion and equity in the workplace, and are a Stonewall champion. We actively encourage and welcome applications from candidates of diverse cultures, perspectives and lived experiences.

Every day of your life matters – from the first to the last. When you work for Marie Curie, you understand that better than ever. We’re a passionate, committed and diverse team of more than 4,400 staff and 12,000 volunteers, here for people living with any terminal illness, and their families. We offer expert care, guidance and support, to help them get the most from the time they have left. Everyone knows our daffodil, but it’s our warmth, creativity and care that touch lives. Here, we take the time to really get to know the people we care for and those who love them. And we do whatever it takes to give them the final days and hours they deserve.

This role may close early if a sufficient number of applications are received.
