The Philanthropy team at Marie Curie is a high performing and ambitious team responsible for raising around £5 million each year to fund projects all over the United Kingdom which support people at the end of life and their loved ones. The team works with grant giving charities (Trusts and Foundations) and builds relationships with high net worth, philanthropic individuals.

At this critical time of Coronavirus and in Marie Curie’s journey, we are looking for an enthusiastic volunteer to provide support on completing funding applications to engage our philanthropy audiences. You will contribute to supporting the team as well as our successful Small Trust Mailing programme, which raises around £600,000 per year from a variety of grant making charities who donate up to £10,000.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with good written communication skills to make a meaningful difference, by helping us to secure essential funding during this important time. You will also gain specific knowledge from a sector-leading Philanthropy team, as well as raise funds for the organisation to help us continue being there for people living with a terminal illness, and their families.

For the foreseeable future, this volunteering opportunity will be undertaken remotely so applicants outside of London are welcome to apply.

Marie Curie is committed to a world where everyone can thrive and fulfil their potential. We are devoted to the social justice imperatives and organisational benefits of full diversity, inclusion and equity in the workplace, and are a Stonewall champion. We actively encourage and welcome applications from candidates of diverse cultures, perspectives and lived experiences.
