Our Marie Curie nurses, and healthcare assistants work night and day, in people’s homes across the UK, providing hands-on care and vital emotional support. Our Marie Curie hospices offer specialist round-the-clock care.

Marie Curie have ambitious fundraising targets to support our services. We have a strong team of fundraising professionals raising funds and soliciting support from a wide range of individuals, groups, organisations and companies. Our fundraising activity is vital to provide voluntary income for our services. 

The successful candidate will be required to participate in the delivery of a specialist palliative care service specific to the needs of the individual patient and their families both in the Day Therapy Unit and in the community in conjunction with the Primary Health Care Teams. As well as provide a specialised assessment, support, information and advice service to cancer and non-cancer patients requiring palliative care in the area / locality to support them in their choice to be at home.

The successful candidate will be required to provide specialist information and support service to the GPs, District Nurses and Nursing Homes, Carers and Care Providers. As well as participate in the education and training programmes within the hospice community and local nursing homes. They will also be required to initiate and undertake research and audit as identified.
