If you want to work for a national charity that really makes a difference every day, we want to hear from you.

Marie Curie are recruiting to our Planned service in East Kent, Ashford, Canterbury and surrounding areas with exciting opportunities for excellent Healthcare Assistants to join our team and be part of our expanding Service. This is an exciting time to join an ambitious, much loved charity seeking to grow our support and services within the South-East England Region.

The successful applicant will play an active role in our team, providing excellent individualised care, enabling patients to be cared for and die in their own homes surrounded by their families and loved ones.  It's all about giving them the best possible quality of life. The support we offer is tailored to meet individuals' medical, social, spiritual and emotional needs.

Physical activities required by the role include but are not limited to patient handling, frequent standing, sitting, walking, climbing up and down stairs, kneeling and crouching to attend to patient needs (including in an emergency situation) and load handling.

Ideally you will hold NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Health and Social Care or equivalent. Relevant experience in Palliative or End of Life Care is desirable but not essential. You will need to be able to demonstrate the ability to work well within a team, use initiative and organise your workload and have good communication skills.

A full driver's license is essential and the use of a car, insured for business use is essential.

In return, we offer access to a generous portfolio of training and education, bursary scheme, management support, clinical supervision and an occupational pension scheme (NHS pension transferable). Please note: Marie Curie is not a NHS Employer however the successful candidate can continue with NHS pension (subject to eligibility).

If you are looking for a new challenge and the opportunity to make a difference to people at the end of their lives, we would love to hear from you.
