Registered Nurse - South East London

If your answers to the above questions are “Yes”, then Marie Curie Community Nursing Service London has a job that is ideal for you.

Marie Curie is a leading provider of care and support for those with a terminal illness at the end of their life.

 To apply you will:

  • Be a Registered Nurse with some experience or knowledge of working in the community.
  • The ability to stay awake throughout the night and provide hands on care in a patients’ home.
  • Be competent with basic IT skills.
  • Have access to a computer and internet, (which will be required to meet mandatory training requirements).
  • Hold a full driving licence and have the use of a car with Business Insurance.
  • Travel to and from your patient (up to a distance of 25 miles) to start your shift on time at a patient’s home at 10pm and finish at 7am, while the Rapid Response Service starts at 20:00 to 08:00.
  • Work independently to deliver care according to the patient’s needs, care plan and be able to use your own initiative.

Physical activities required by the role include but are not limited to patient handling, frequent standing, sitting, walking, climbing up and down stairs, kneeling and crouching to attend to patient needs (including in an emergency situation) and load handling.
