This is an exciting time to join Marie Curie’s IT department as we are working to re-shape our IT services. As such Marie Curie are wishing to recruit a Microsoft Services Technical Specialist to join our IT Technical Services team.

 

The successful candidate will have an interest to building and improving infrastructure in a Microsoft cloud environment. As an indication of the opportunity within the role, we do not have on-premise datacentres, instead utilising Azure and Office 365 services.

 

We also offer opportunities for classroom-based training and skill development plans for the department to maintain and develop skills, to keep the successful candidate and the team up to date as technology changes.

 

Strong experience is required in the following technologies:

 

  • Azure (Essential)
  • Office 365
  • System Centre Configuration Manager (Optional)
  • Microsoft Intune (Optional)
  • Networking
    • ExpressRoute
    • HSCN
    • Firewall
  • Active Directory
  • Hyper-V
  • Windows servers and desktops
    • Windows 10
    • Windows Server 2016
    • Windows Server 2019

 Including experience in the following for the above technologies:

  • Networking such as management and administration of ExpressRoute, Azure Networking/Routing, DMZ, Windows Server networking roles and fundamentals of firewall management.
  • Operation of infrastructure services to organisation security standards, maintaining personal security awareness and contributing to security improvement.

 

The role requires a high level of technical acumen and the ability to work well with others, within and outside of the IT department, to define and deliver solutions.

 

The successful candidate will have a customer focused attitude with strong experience of solution delivery in a medium or large organisation.
