Marie Curie is seeking a Maintenance Assistant to join our Facilities team, based in our Marie Curie Hospice in Penarth, to uphold our values in providing a high-quality maintenance service for our patients and staff.

This is a patient-focussed and varied role, supporting the Maintenance Supervisor in maintaining the fabric of the building and ensuring that all routine checks and inspections are carried out to ensure compliance. Driving and portering duties form a significant part of the role.

Previous experience in a similar role would be a considerable advantage, including Health & Safety issues, plumbing, electrical safety, contractor management and carrying out minor repairs.

You should be organised, flexible and familiar with basic Windows packages, including Outlook, Excel and Word. Previous experience of IT set up in office environments would be advantageous.

A full driving license is essential, and a DBS disclosure check will be undertaken for the successful candidate.
