Our Marie Curie nurses and healthcare assistants work night and day, in people’s homes across the UK, providing hands-on care and vital emotional support. Our Marie Curie hospices offer specialist round-the-clock care. And Marie Curie support people throughout their illness by giving practical information, support from trained volunteers and being there when someone wants to talk.

HOURS: Up to 37.5 hours per week (part time contracts will also be considered)

CLOSING DATE: 21st February 2020


As a Marie Curie Nurse, you will provide high quality nursing care and participate in the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of the care needs for the patient group in a palliative care setting.

You will work with the team, using a patient-centred approach and evidenced based practice, assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care and co-ordinate care from admission to discharge. You will be expected to administer medication and treatment as prescribed in accordance with the NMC’s and the Charity’s policies and guidelines. You will also provide emotional, psychological and spiritual support for patients and carers.

As a Registered Nurse you will come with an RGN level 1 registration and will be able to demonstrate an understanding of palliative care and the needs of patients with complex symptoms as well as at end of life.

You will be forward thinking with excellent communication skills and want to positively contribute to the team and hospice.

Interested candidates should have motivation and a passion for patient care and commitment to high professional standards.

We will consider new qualifies nurses and anyone still awaiting their PIN. Comprehensive preceptorship will be provided and Superannuation can be continued.
