Are you an incredible communicator and a talented collaborator? We are seeking a Partnership Development Manager - Stewardship to shape stewardship and supporter experience at Marie Curie, establishing a growing function that plays a critical role in driving transformative, impactful fundraising.

The role will work with and across the Philanthropy & Partnerships (P&P) income teams to help build stronger partnerships with a high value audience, and with colleagues at all levels across Marie Curie. The role will sit within the Insight and Partnership Development (IPD) team, which provides the insight, partnership development and rigour that guides, informs and empowers our fundraisers to build meaningful and impactful relationships with organisations and philanthropists. We work across prospect research, case for support and project information, and stewardship, partnering with fundraisers in London and nationally to maximise income and turbocharge our fundraising. P&P is responsible for working with individuals, charitable trusts, companies and statutory sources, runs a successful special event programme, and reaches partners across the high value audience, with teams in London, the North West and Scotland and Northern Ireland.

It’s a crucial role, managing a function that will have meaningful impact on our fundraising, enhancing our partnerships with philanthropists, companies, trusts and foundations with a programme of communications, bespoke stewardship tools and an excellent events programme. You will provide our most loyal and generous supporters with compelling stewardship and a profound donor experience, resulting in stronger partnerships and increased funding to enable the delivery of an ambitious income growth strategy. You’ll play a vital role in delivering across all P&P’s income streams, living our culture of ‘one team, one target’, with particular focus on developing a stewardship strategy that serves all our communities and stakeholders internal and external, and creating a holistic approach to our high value audience across P&P.

You may have significant experience of working in high value fundraising, or you might bring your background of communications or stakeholder management to help us create powerful partnerships.

Every day of your life matters – from the first to the last. When you work for Marie Curie, you understand that better than ever. We’re a passionate, committed and diverse team of more than 4,400 staff and 12,000 volunteers, here for people living with any terminal illness, and their families. We offer expert care, guidance and support, to help them get the most from the time they have left. Everyone knows our daffodil, but it’s our warmth, creativity and care that touch lives. Here, we take the time to really get to know the people we care for and those who love them. And we do whatever it takes to give them the final days and hours they deserve. This is a truly exciting time for Marie Curie, with a new CEO and the development of a new organisational strategy – join us as we embark on a period of growth and ambition. We welcome candidates from all backgrounds and encourage applicants to share their flexible working preferences during the interview process.

This role may close early if a sufficient number of applications are received.
