An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic Registered Nurse to join our Multi Visit Service in Scarborough. Marie Curie work in partnership with St Catherine’s Hospice providing 24/7 Hospice at Home service. 

The Hospice at Home service is based at Saint Catherine’s Hospice and provide planned care to patients in their own homes as well as responding to urgent requests for support via Palcall.  You will be part of a small team and will work between 4pm and 11pm.

This is ideal for someone looking to develop and gain new skills. You will work alongside a Clinical Nurse Manager and Senior Nurse as well as other healthcare professionals to provide an integrated and co-ordinated service that delivers care and support to people with terminal illnesses whilst also offering vital emotional support for their families.

The successful applicant must be a confident Registered Nurse and have experience in caring for those with a terminal illness. You will be expected to provide a high level of palliative care for patients as well as offering support to families.

Using evidence-based practice to develop and maintain high quality, you will work collaboratively in the assessment and evaluation of patient care. Supporting the team of healthcare assistants, you will ensure appropriate clinical care is delivered to enable palliative care patients to stay in their own home.

The Marie Curie Nursing Service is deployed in geographical regions which contain a series of smaller teams that are designed to provide a supportive staffing network.

Due to the nature of the roles a full driving licence, access to a car and willingness to travel are essential.
