HOURS: 34.5 hours per week

Shifts: Rotational over 7 days working both days and nights

As a Marie Curie Nurse, you will provide high quality nursing care and participate in the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of the care needs for the patient group in a palliative care setting.

You will work with the team, using a patient-centred approach and evidenced based practice, assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care and co-ordinate care from admission to discharge. You will be expected to administer medication and treatment as prescribed in accordance with the NMC’s and the Charity’s policies and guidelines. You will also provide emotional, psychological and spiritual support for patients and carers.

As a Registered Nurse you will come with an RGN level 1 registration and will be able to demonstrate an understanding of palliative care and the needs of patients with complex symptoms as well as at end of life. Experience in this area would be an advantage, however, is not essential.

You will be forward thinking with excellent communication skills and want to positively contribute to the team and hospice.
