Our Marie Curie hospices offer specialist round-the-clock care. And Marie Curie support people throughout their illness by giving practical information, support from trained volunteers and being there when someone wants to talk.

Regional Office Administrator

£16,223 per annum

Edinburgh Hospice

35 hours per week

You will work as part of the Marie Curie regional administration team for the Marie Curie Nursing Service based at our Edinburgh Hospice, responsible for the co-ordination of all administration work relating to the Lothian Regional Team. You will act as a link between Central Departments and the Region, providing support to all Regional staff and visiting team members.

As the first point of contact for the regional team, you will receive visitors, handle incoming calls, and deal pro-actively with enquiries and support communication within the regional office. This will include general office duties as well as full secretarial support, producing correspondence, reports, minutes, management information, presentations and other documents – to include audio/copy/dictated methods. You will also organise and maintain working diaries for the regional team, making appointments as necessary, as well as arranging travel and accommodation arrangements from time to time.

IT literacy, proven administration experience and a professional and sensitive telephone manner are essential as is experience of working in a customer service environment. Your ability to prioritise your work, juggling a variety of changing demands will be key. The willingness to travel throughout the region and on occasions maybe further afield is essential.
