Facilities Manager

Marie Curie Hospice, Belfast

35 hrs per week

£31,578 - £35,068 pa

The Marie Curie Hospice, situated in Belfast, provides specialist palliative care for people with cancer and other life-limiting illnesses.

An experienced people manager, you will manage the on-site catering, housekeeping, administration and maintenance teams. You will also be responsible for contract negotiations as well as Health and Safety for the Hospice. This will include recruitment, induction and training of all non clinical staff, ensuring that ongoing personal development and education needs are identified and met through the charity Personal Review process.

You will lead the Hospice Business Continuity Planning process and the Risk Management programme with key responsibility for Incident Reporting systems and supporting clinical staff in the development of clinical risk assessments. As one of the hospice Senior Managers, you will also have an opportunity to influence non clinical national policy and improvements, working with other Facilities Managers from the further 8 hospices across the UK.

You will ensure safe working systems are implemented and all relevant legislation and codes of practice in respect of hygiene, fire, health and safety etc. are implemented and maintained.

Ideally you will have experience in both soft and hard services, experienced in change management and NEBOSH qualified (or prepared to study for a funded NEBOSH course once started).
