The Legacy Giving team is responsible for raising awareness and promoting the positive impact of leaving a gift in a Will to Marie Curie to supporters and the public, providing a range of engaging opportunities to support for those considering leaving a gift as well as further deepening relationships with those who already have.

The Legacy Development Manager will lead a regional team of Legacy Advisors and their Assistants across Wales, the Midlands and South of England, responsible for the development of opportunities for engagement and stewardship, prompting awareness, consideration and action, whilst ensuring supporters continue to feel valued and engaged with the cause.

This involves developing and managing innovative face to face awareness and stewardship activities that support and add value to our wider marketing campaigns, as well as ensuring all staff and volunteers have the level of knowledge and confidence to talk about gifts in Wills when appropriate, helping to create a culture of Legacy giving at Marie Curie. You will also help to implement a comprehensive Free Will-writing offer, making use of a growing range of channels now available to ensure all potential users are catered for.

This is an exciting time to join us as we continue to grow the regional team with the creation of two new roles – the Legacy Development Manager for the North and South regions of the UK – each of whom who will be responsible for delivering this element of the Gifts in Wills strategy. This will allow us to focus more time and energy on further growing our activities for awareness and stewardship, as well as providing more opportunities to support the regional team in seeking out new and innovative ways to engage with a range of audiences.

We are looking for a well-organised, creative and innovative individual to manage this high-performing and well respected regional team, and who will work closely with the Legacy Development Manager for the North, as well as the Legacy Marketing and Administration Managers in the wider Legacy Giving team.
