This is a key role, supporting the Marie Curie divisional team in their negotiations with Commissioners regarding services provided by Marie Curie and in providing the Commissioners with accurate contractually agreed information and performance reports.

You will work with the Divisional Business Manager to deliver the full divisional portfolio, which includes Contract Management, Business and Service Development, Service Improvement and Service Implementation.

You will support the divisional team in negotiations with commissioners for appropriate levels of care and in providing accurate, contractually agreed, performance reports. You will provide detailed quality, outcome and financial performance reports with insight and analysis to the wider divisional team to support service delivery, improvement and commissioning.

Through support and direction from the DBM, you will support the development of business case preparation and bid / tender production, providing detailed analysis as required.

You will contribute to the re-design and successful implementation of services to a high standard, delivered within agreed timescales. As part of the Business and Service development lifecycle, you will be responsible for end to end contract management and monitoring processes for their area(s) of responsibility. You will be an agent for fundamental clinical and organisational change, establishing and developing new projects and supporting on-going management of business as usual and existing projects.

With a relevant degree and/or extensive experience in in the health and social care sector, you should have a good understanding of the NHS Commissioning processes, and contract management.

A confident relationship manager, you should possess strong negotiation, presentation skills as well as the ability to prepare budget and management information.

The role will require travel throughout the Central and Eastern Regions and therefore a full driving licence with access to a vehicle, insured for business use, is required.
