This is an exciting time to join Marie Curie’s IT Service Management team as we are working to re-shape our IT services. As such Marie Curie are wishing to recruit an IT Services Transition Manager to join our IT Service Management team.

The IT Service Transition Manager has overall responsibility for the transition of IT services between each stage of their lifecycles, from design to transition, to operation, to continual improvement and then decommissioning.  For clarity, the IT Service Transition Manager is not responsible for IT the services, but for the transition of IT services between the lifecycle stages.This is an exciting time to join Marie Curie’s IT Infrastructure team as we are working to re-shape our IT services.  As such Marie Curie are wishing to recruit a Microsoft Services Technical Specialist to join our IT Infrastructure team. 

The successful candidate will have good experience of the following responsibilities:

  • Strong IT Service Transition process design skills
  • Strong IT Service Transition operational skills, ability to lead the transition of IT services between each stage of their lifecycles
  • As the owner of the Acceptance into Service process ensure that IT services, and changes, enter operation smoothly and with only acceptable risk
  • Coordinate the processes of service transition, including;
    • Functional, and non-function, services validation and testing
    • Acceptance into Service
    • Change management and configuration management
  • Planning and controlling of rollouts across environment – development à test à production
  • Be the accountable party for ensuring IT services, and changes to IT services, enter operation in a fit state with only acceptable levels of risk
  • Alongside the IT Operations Manager, continually improve IT processes to best support Marie Curie’s IT services’ operation 

The role requires a high level of attention to detail and the ability to work well with others, within and outside of the IT department.
