The West Midlands Hospice are looking for a volunteer Facilities Assistant to enhance the existing team in providing an excellent service to our users. As the hospice becomes more versatile and looks for ways of engaging local businesses and increasing revenue by selling meeting space, the need has arisen for additional support for our facilities team.
This role will support the existing team with meeting room bookings and set up. The post holder will work closely with our admin, catering and maintenance teams to ensure that all room bookings run as smoothly as possible in addition to providing general portering and driving duties. To support you in this role you will receive relevant training including moving and handling.
We are looking for someone with a positive outlook and a willingness to exceed expectations, think flexibly and respond to the individual needs of our users. Basic IT skills and good communication skills are essential for this role. This will be a varied role and it will require good organisational skills and an ability to prioritise a diverse workload.
