Hours: 35

Closing Date: 13th February 2019

Interview Date:  TBC

Case studies are the personal stories of the people that Marie Curie has helped or who are supporting the charity. The Case Study Team gathers personal stories from people who have been helped by Marie Curie and supports them in telling their story to raise awareness and funds for the charity.

Raising awareness of Marie Curie’s work ensures that more people who need the help of our Nurses, Hospices, and Helpers can get the support they need.

As Case Study Officer you will source and interview people volunteering as case studies, collating, updating and promoting new material to key stakeholders across the organisation.

The ideal candidate will have significant experience of interviewing, writing and editing, as well as a sharp understanding of what makes a good quote and a strong story across marketing, PR and digital communications. Experience managing media databases is also desirable.

Highly developed verbal and written communication skills are key, along with the ability to speak to people of all ages and backgrounds about often very personal and difficult issues.

The ability to manage multiple priorities to sometimes very tight deadlines is essential.

Marie Curie are here for people living with any terminal illness, and their families. Marie Curie offers expert care, guidance and support to help them get the most from the time they have left.

Our Marie Curie nurses and healthcare assistants work night and day, in people’s homes across the UK, providing hands-on care and vital emotional support. Our Marie Curie hospices offer specialist round-the-clock care. And Marie Curie support people throughout their illness by giving practical information, support from trained volunteers and being there when someone wants to talk.
