SENIOR REGISTERED NURSE - SCARBOROUGH
BASED AT: ST CATHERINE’S HOSPICE
22.5 HOURS PER WEEK
£30,909 pa pro rata
As a Senior Nurse with Marie Curie, you will be assisting the Clinical Nurse Manager to support a team of Community based Marie Curie Nurses throughout Scarborough and Ryedale and a team of Marie curie nurses working as part of the Hospice at Home service based at Saint Catherine’s Hospice, Scarborough. We provide free specialist care and support to patients with terminal illnesses whilst offering vital emotional support for their families. It's all about giving the best possible quality of life. The support we offer is tailored to meet individuals' medical, social, spiritual and emotional needs.
The successful candidate will be based at Saint Catherine’s Hospice and will work closely with partners in the Hospice at Home service, supported by and assisting the clinical nurse manager to develop and maintain this partnership. You will be responsible for the case management of patients in a defined area, working closely with District Nurses and other members of the multi-disciplinary teams. The successful candidate will be undertaking patient needs assessments as required, to ensure appropriate access and use of MC services and supporting the Marie Curie Nurse within their roles and development needs.
You must have a good understanding and relevant experience in Palliative Care in a professional capacity and have a full drivers licence with access to a vehicle and have/be prepared to obtain business insurance for the same.
You will work alongside the Clinical Nurse Manager providing professional leadership and carry the continuing responsibility for the assessment of care needs, the development, implementation and evaluation of programmes of care and the setting of standards of care. You will have RN Registration Level 1, with relevant post–registration experience.
This is a 22.5 hour post and working hours will be discussed at interview and agreed on appointment.
